Why Wear
I choose Nicole Miller's name because I knew her and used to work with her, I didn't know she was on Flight 93 until last year.

I now wear my Memorial Bracelet beside the Vietnam POW bracelet I've had since 1972. Quite frankly, I'm able to safely sit at my computer and e-mail you because of the gentlemen whose names I have on my bracelets. Wearing these bracelets is the least I can do.

I have a friend that fought in Vietnam and came home. I remembered that there used to be bracelets to wear for POWs. In honor of my friend, Michael Tank, the Vietnam vet, I decided to get one to remember that not everyone came home.

Killed in Action Memorial Bracelets and Dog Tags

In the 1970's, we wore Prisoner of War (P.O.W.) and Missing in Action (M.I.A.) bracelets bearing the name of a captured or lost soldier. We did this to keep this person in our hearts and minds, even if we did not know them personally. We proudly wore these bracelets, and some still do, as a symbol of hope that the POW's and MIA's would return home to their families.

Today, we also keep others in our memories... Victims and Heroes of Terrorism. To keep the memory alive of those who have died innocently at the hands of terrorists or fighting terrorism, we now also wear Memorial Bracelets. By wearing a Memorial Bracelet, we show our patriotism and offer our moral and financial support to the families of these Victims and Heroes of Terrorism.

$2.00 from the sale of each bracelet is donated to charities that support the families of the heroes and victims of terrorism.
